June 27 is National Sunglasses Day! With people spending more time outdoors throughout the summer months, use this day as a reminder to wear your sunglasses while outside. Check out these fun ideas to keep the celebration going during the month of June. 

Create a photo backdrop opportunity. Celebrate National Sunglasses Day by creating a designated photo area in your office where patients can take pictures in their new sunglasses. By providing fun signage and props, they can share pictures on their social media, tag your practice, and reach potential new patients.  

Host a sunglasses donation. This June, host a sunglasses donation in-office. Ask patients to bring in their gently used sunglasses to donate and in return, they will receive a $10 credit toward their next purchase. After the donation event has ended, share on your social channels how many pairs of sunglasses you collected and where you donated them.  

Throw an open house! The Friday before National Sunglasses Day, throw a day-long open house to celebrate the occasion and allow patients to browse and shop. Have your staff wear their sunglasses and provide yummy snacks throughout the day to commemorate the day. You don’t have to go over the top, but create a fun environment to encourage patients to wear their sunglasses and protect their eyes.
